Isabel of Aragon ⁶³¹

   Another name for Isabel was Saint Elizabeth.

  General Notes:

After her husband died she was able to live as a nun in the nunnery at Coimbra which she founded. She died seeking a peace between her son Alfonso VI and his son-in-law the King of Castile. Her feast day is 4th July.

Isabel married Denis the Farmer of Portugal, son of Alfonso III of Portugal and Beatriz of Castile Alfonso, in 1282. (Denis the Farmer of Portugal was born on 9 Oct 1261 in Lisbon, Lisboa, Portugal and died on 7 Jan 1325 in Santarem.)
